Awards of Distinction

The STAR program seeks to assist member schools in establishing exemplary learning programs that challenge and engage each student enrolled in one of several school programs that are part of the curriculum.

CHI will provide assistance in the form of professional support in clarifying evidence-based resources which will help the teaching staff achieve their exemplary goals and assessing the final results.
 
The Awards of Distinction are also available to non-member schools who apply to have the awards committee visit the school.

The criteria for such an exemplary program are: innovative, transformational, measurable, reflective, and communal.

School programs in eight, broad categories will be eligible: e.g., academic enhancement, professional development or identity focus.
