CHI is an organization devoted to assisting individual independent schools achieve excellence as learning organizations. This is accomplished through research designed to define the professional standards of excellence used in the three Canadian school systems.
Its special mission is to foster excellence through accountability and transparency, and in that assessment context CHI sponsors four programs of direct benefit to independent schools: School Accreditation, Awards of Distinction, Student Achievement and Independent Schools Canada. Accreditation is the gateway.
